The Application Services team is dedicated to advancing its twin mission of delivering cutting-edge Application Development and Business Intelligence solutions for the School of Medicine, MCV Physicians, VP Health Sciences, and the University by transforming intricate business processes and data into user-friendly solutions and dashboards.

The Application Development team develops and maintains innovative software solutions to support a variety of user groups throughout the school and university including students, faculty and administration. The team is skilled in many tech stacks and frameworks; the primary stack includes Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server. The systems are used by thousands of users, many on a daily basis. The Business Intelligence and Analytics team develops dynamic, scalable, and user-friendly dashboards and reports, employing a customer-centric approach to support data needs across Education, Finance, Research, Clinical, and HR domains. Additionally, the team prioritizes data governance and best practices to ensure the integrity and security of the information. Proactively adhering to change management and security protocols, they utilize SQL Server and Snowflake for data needs, with Tableau serving as the primary tool for dashboard and analytics development.
